Running has been his whole life — as a competitor on ultramarathon courses and as a coach. He founded the Running School (Běžecká škola), through which he helps beginners and experienced runners alike run with good technique, without injury and with joy.
He has written several successful books on running, including Běžecká bible (The Running Bible), Škorpilova škola běhu (Škorpil’s Running School), Běžecký diář Miloše Škorpila (a running diary) and Běhání pro všechny (Running for Everyone).
He believes you can start at any age, even after years on the couch — gradually, planning training in minutes rather than kilometres, and with “Indian running”, alternating walking and running.
